A hands-on fun exhibit for kids and transportation buffs alike! See model trains, model planes, and model automobiles. Try your hand at building and launching an airplane with compressed air, or build and race wooden cars. Explore the caboose and engine of a kid-sized train in the gallery.

Cool off in the courtyard with the Longmont Museum’s new water exhibit, designed for fun and learning. Explore whirlpools, vortices and spigots; “paint” with water on slate – and watch out for the geyser!
Front Range Rising – Permanent Gallery
Front Range Rising is the exhibit that the Longmont Museum & Cultural Center was built for! Opened in September 2007, it was made possible in part by support from the Friends of the Longmont Museum.
Vance Brand: Ambassador of Exploration
See an actual lunar sample in this pocket exhibition about the space program and Vance Brand, a Longmont native who flew on the Apollo-Soyuz and the Space Shuttle.
