On November 14, 2008, around 75 Friends and members of the National Collage Society attended a private, early opening reception of the 24th Annual Juried Exhibit of collage works created by artists from across the United States. Collage is a still a radical art form, just as it was when Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque shook up the art world with their addition of torn newspapers, scraps of postcards, and dried flowers to their canvases. Today’s artists continue to test the boundaries of collage, as revealed in this national juried exhibit.
